Parents, Coaches and
Players,
Welcome to the 2010-2011 basketball season. I cannot believe it is time
for our winter league. I hope you had a relaxing off season. For those
of you who do not know me, my name is Michael Miller and I am honored to
be your President for another season. To the returning players, I would
like to welcome you back for another exciting season and for those of
you who are new to our chapter, welcome.
Just like the previous years, a league of our size (700+ kids) can not
function without the hard work of dedicated board members, and I want to
thank the individuals who are serving on the board for the upcoming
season. The Board is always looking for new volunteers to join, and we
currently have a few positions available. If you are interested in one
of these positions, please send me an e-mail.
Within the next 2 weeks, you will receive an e-mail and a flyer in the
mail announcing that registration is open. Due to the popularity of our
league we will fill up fast and I recommend that you sign up early to
assure a spot for your child.
Here are a few dates to remember.
• Registration begins the week of August 16th.
• Walk up registrations will be held Sept 11th and 18th at Community
Park in Chino Hills and Sept 19th at Ayala Park in Chino.
• Player evaluations will be held on Oct 10th for Divisions 1, 2 and 3
and Oct 17th for Rookie and Division 4.
A major goal for the chapter this year is to increase the number of
girls playing basketball in Chino Valley. To help with our endeavor we
are offering $25 to anyone who refers NEW Division 1, 2 or 3 female
players to our chapter. The only restriction is that they are actively
participating on a team in December.
