Parents, Coaches and Players

I hope everyone had a safe Christmas and New Year. For the months of November and December, this season has been very uneventful, which is a good thing. During the first two months of the season, the league had to condense a few weeks due to the loss of Chino Rec Center, and Don Lugo HS. Everyone worked together and made the change transparent to the players. I want to thank everyone personally for their patience and cooperation.

Since we have hit the halfway point in the regular season, the coaches are starting to develop their strategy to make it into the championship brackets. Based on the current standings, it should be another exciting finish to the season. The webmaster has outlined the league’s playoff philosophy. Please take a moment and review our tie breaker rules and how we determine which teams will play in the championship and consolation brackets.

The playoffs will culminate with the Chino Valley Extravaganza on February 12, 2012. This is an all day event to showcase our championship games. As part of the festivities, we will enjoy a coaches game, player introductions, play-by-play announcing, post game award presentations and raffles/prizes.

The chapter only foresees one facility issue in January. The chapter is trying to resolve this as soon as possible ands we will try to minimize any disruptions to the existing schedule. If we run into additional issues, we will try and resolve them as quickly as possible and the league just asks for your patience and cooperation.

Here are a few dates to remember.

• Make up picture day will be January 15th at Ayala HS. Check website for times.

• The playoffs will begin in January:
- Division 4 will begin on Jan 22nd
- Boys Divisional will begin on Jan 29th
- Girls Divisional will begin on Feb 5th

• Extravaganza will be on February 12th at Chino Hills High School.
